Wes Reid is the co-founder and Head of Technology at Product Lab LLC, virtually located in Miami, Florida, a digital agency created to partner with enterprise businesses, entrepreneurs, and startup founders to accelerate their strategies and visions into reality.
Over the last 20 years, Mr. Reid has designed and built some of the most recognized and utilized platforms across a diverse array of experiences in media and finance.
Wes spent the first years of his career building custom business intelligence applications for trading floor use in the commodities trading industries in Houston, Texas. In the mid-2000s, he relocated to New York City and joined a boutique digital agency, i33 to build out the tech practice for the company. This led to an acquisition in 2008 by 360i/Dentsu. After the acquisition, he moved on to create a "next-gen" front-end experience for the Comcast XFinityTV platform.
Mr. Reid then served as the Director of Technology for Publicis' Razorfish in New York City. During his tenure at Razorfish, he served as the Chief Architect on many engagements, including Spotify's first "Year In Music" review in 2014, and the global launch of Motorola's MotoX phone.
After Razorfish, he led two initiatives in the financial industry. The first at NYSE™ to upgrade the ILM (Issuer Lifecycle Management) platform, replacing a suite of systems supporting NYSE Corporate Actions and Issuer Oversight. After his work at NYSE, Wes joined American Express™ as a global technology leader to architect and lead a global re-platform of the online customer acquisition process spanning twenty-one credit card products for consumers and the OPEN for Small Business sectors.
Mr. Reid's responsibilities include the architectural design, construction, and continued establishment, scaling, and maintenance of the company’s intellectual property networks and planning, developing, and supervising the software development for the firm's complete Venture Tech Operating System™, consisting of the Financial Architect System™ and Corporate Engineering Conservatory™ as well as evaluating competitive technologies, and implementing the continued use of new and emerging technologies.
Wes is also a trained jazz musician. He attended the New School for Jazz and Performing Arts in NYC and continues to perform. He lives in New Jersey with his wife and three children, and spends time abroad annually in Europe with his family for educational and cultural purposes in the upbringing of his children.
